Scriptures:
Philippians 2:12-18
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
Do everything without complaining or
arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without
fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in
the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the
day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being
poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your
faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and
rejoice with me.
Matthew
5:11,12
“Blessed
are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil
against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in
heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Peter 5:8
Be
self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring
lion looking for someone to devour.
Romans 1:8
I
thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being
reported all over the world.
Romans 16:19
Everyone
has heard about your obedience.…
Romans 1:5
Through
him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people
from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
Luke 9:23
Whoever
wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and
follow me.
