Scriptures:
Ephesians 1:1-6
Paul, an
apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Grace and peace to you from God our
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual
blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to
be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as
his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the
praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
Genesis 12:2,3
“I will make you into a great nation and
I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless
you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be
blessed through you.”
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in
view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and
pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
Leviticus
19:1,2
The Lord
said to Moses, “Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be
holy because I, the Lord your God,
am holy.
Exodus 19:3-6
Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord
called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the
house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt,
and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you
obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my
treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a
kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to
the Israelites.”
